Past Projects

The Ryan Dam is located near Great Falls, MT on the Missouri River. IEC was contracted with PPL Montana (PPL) for this design-build project.

For this generator step-up project, IEC was responsible for replacing eleven (11) single-phase transformers with two (2) 50 MVA transformers. Other major components of work for this project included: new 15kV switchgear, with new feeder bays and a new control system, new 100kV circuit switchers, HVAC and a new fire annunciation system.

IEC began construction on this project in March 2007 and was completed on-time in May 2008.
